Senior Solid Plasterer

Work Experience and Skills: • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as a solid plasterer; • Must have experience working with the product Proyalbi render coatings (this is essential); • Able to work efficiently with and without supervision; • Good team worker and ability to work with other trades; • Able to work under pressure. Responsibilities and Duties: • Assessing the area to be plastered and determining the plasterboard layout • Cleaning and preparing surfaces by stapling wire-mesh frames to them, or by roughening them with mechanical hammers • Preparing substrate for solid plaster and knowing how limes bond and react and perform with different substrates • Mixing and applying coats of Proyalbi coating, plaster, cement, or similar materials to walls and ceilings, levelling and smoothing them by using different tools and techniques • Applying finishing coats of Proyalbi plaster to give a smooth finish or ornamental texture • Leveling and straightening corners, angles, and wall and ceiling surfaces • Fixing precast cornices and panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings • Rendering exterior walls and moulds • Finishing the underside of concrete floors with a mixture of cement and granite chips or blue metal • Restoring and renovating solid plasterwork • Installing cast plaster and paper-faced cornices • Using explosive power tools Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
