About the Role The Financial Accountant manages the accounting & financial activities of the organisation within a small Finance team.
The role will analyse the economic stability of ICLA & provide financial information to other departments, senior management & the Board, enabling decision making related to long term strategy, budgeting & investments. This is a full time role with a base remuneration of $73,000 per annum, plus NFP salary packaging available. Responsibilities include: Preparing periodic profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow reports for the Executive & Board Preparing & submitting BAS return Liaising with the NDIS & service delivery to ensure revenue is administered & collected in a timely manner Reporting on & regularly reviewing budgets & projections of revenue & expenditure & prepare analyses to support long & short-term decision making Maintaining the integrity of financial systems, processes & accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements & accuracy of information Execute the payroll function Monitoring cash flow & recommend placement of funds in short & longer term deposits, & liaises with banks Working with the CFO to: determine strategic plan & budget financial targets; & continuously improve internal control design Preparing supporting documentation & financial analysis for annual external audit review & certification Providing required financial reports to Government funding departments.
Advising on the selection & implementation of new IT systems to support the functions of finance as required About You Essential: Tertiary qualification in Accounting Two or more years’ experience in Accounting Membership of a professional accounting body, or working towards Experience working with the NDIS Excellent communication skills Sound experience in MYOB, UKG & Microsoft 365 Sound knowledge of end-to-end Payroll processes for Award & rostered workforce Process orientated, with attention to detail Ability to work under pressure & proven record in meeting deadlines Proactive, agile & solution focused Strong financial accuracy Team player High level of discretion & sensitivity in dealing with confidential matters Desirable Previous not-for-profit experience How to apply: Please include a covering letter addressing the role requirements in your application.
