Restaurant Head Chef

Sydney Harbour Marriott Restaurant Head Chef Permanent full-time position 38 hours per week Sydney city location, close to public transport SILVESTER’S RESTAURANT Silvester’s is a multi-award-winning, spectacularly designed restaurant. It features a medley of intimate and grand open space with front row seats to an open kitchen, offering an immersive dining experience. The creative, exquisite contemporary-Australian cuisine is an intriguing showcase and fusion of global flavours.

Silvester’s unique story is inspired by the rich history of this very space. In decades gone by, one of Sydney’s finest butchers and providores, the Silvester Brothers, served up local cuts from within these walls. Today, we honour their commitment to fresh food by sourcing quality ingredients brought to the table as dishes that capture our own.

You will be Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hotel’s signature restaurant. Responsible for all kitchen employees in the absence of Executive Chef. Drives innovation and business results for the hotel’s signature restaurant.

Creates a prominent image for the signature restaurant and drives business through significant Marketing/Public Relations/Media activities. Oversees the restaurant marketing plan in partnership with the Executive Chef and Brand Marketing teams. Demonstrates affinity for building relationships with a focus on creating exciting and memorable guest experiences.

Accountable for achieving financial goals. Participates in training specialty restaurant staff on menu items including ingredients, preparation methods and unique tastes. The job will be full time shiftwork with availability over 7 days.

Successful applicants must have: Strong expensive Culinary management experience strong communication and interpersonal skills strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
