Spicers Guesthouse. Job is located in Pokolbin, NSW About Eremo Restaurant Spicers Guesthouse has a rich history in the heart of Australia’s oldest wine region, the Hunter Valley. This reborn Hunter Valley institution embraces a classic yet contemporary design, drawing inspiration from the natural colour palette of the surrounding landscape.

Set within the property is eRemo restaurant. Offering a modern Italian menu thoughtfully created by Executive Chef Cameron Matthews, our previous Head Chef of The Long Apron at Spicers Clovelly Estate. It wouldn’t be the Hunter Valley without a comprehensive wine list, including some of the region’s best vintages.

Guests can dine in the restaurant, or on our alfresco terrace and take in the views over the surrounding areas. Our new Restaurant Manager will be an integral part of delivering the eRemo experience to our guests, whether it be for a conference, leisure group or for our dining offering. Here's what you'll do Curate an unforgettable and personalised experience for our guests from start to finish; Forge loyal relationships with guests and locals to promote repeated clientele; Maximize and identify opportunities to sell products & experiences that suit the needs of our guests; Management of financial cost measures including beverage and wage costs; Coaching of your restaurant team to uphold service and quality standards. This is how you’ll know you’re right for this role Prior experience in fine dining or hatted restaurant environment (essential); Prior experience in a fast paced premium restaurant; A genuine love for great food & wine; Strong wine knowledge; WSET level 2 or CMS certification (desirable); Experience in leading a team to success; Demonstrated financial acumen in relation to running a profitable restaurant; A talent for customer service with a vibrant and outgoing nature.
