Revit MEP Operator/Civil Draftsperson
Harris Page & Associates Pty Limited was established in 1977 and is one of Sydney's best known consultancy practices specialising in Hydraulics and Fire Protection. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer Draftsperson, this full-time position requires a self-motivated, team orientated individual, capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment. Duties: Complete construction projects by preparing engineering design and documents and in accordance with Australian standards and project specifications/briefs Complete engineering design documentation in AutoCad 2 dimensional (2D) and REVIT/BIM 3 dimensional (3D) formats Complete REVIT/BIM modelling in LOD300, LOD400 & LOD500 Prepare engineering reports by collecting and studying design, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data Maintain project database by writing computer programs, entering data, and completing backups Create feasibility study by analysing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data Produces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules Confirm adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction site, and verifying calculations and installation works Overseeing and monitoring civil works, demolitions, excavations and services installation Maintain operations by enforcing project and operational policies and procedures.
Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions Liaise with councils for permits and site inspections. Skills and Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, accredited A minimum of 2 years’ industry and modelling experience Familiarity with civil design software as AutoCad, REVIT/BIM (LOD300, LOD400 & LOD500), MUSIC Modelling, DRAINS software Knowledge of map creation software Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project Have comprehensive understanding of spoken and written English How to apply If you meet the above requirements and are ready for a challenge, please apply with a copy of your Resume, a Cover Letter and Portfolio.
