The Opportunity An opportunity exists for an APS6 Secretariat, responsible for managing a small team of staff providing high-level secretariat support in a dynamic and high paced area that provides business support to two branches that manage a busy Medical Devices Program.

Initially a contract through to the end of financial year, this role offers strong extension prospects for the right candidate. Contract to EOFY with extension prospects Busy and dynamic role The Role The APS6 Secretariat Support Officer provides oversight and secretariat support to the Advisory Committee on Medical Devices (ACMD) (Statutory Committee) and the Regulatory and Technical Consultative Forum (RegTech) (Industry Committee), and International Medical Devices Regulators Forum (IMDRF).
Key duties include: Provision of secretariat services to 3 committees, including producing high quality paperwork, preparation/organisation and prompt resolution of all issues relating to those committees, and actively ensuring TGA allocated actions are completed to a high standard and on time Develop and maintain a clear forward workplan for 2021 Report on upcoming work, potential issues, and mitigation strategies Anticipate and appropriately respond to stakeholder needs and expectations Develop and support relationships with internal and external stakeholders Your Background and Experience The successful applicant will need to be an experienced policy, program and / or project manager. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as are a high level of judgement, proficient stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while working collaboratively in a busy, fast-paced environment. Due to the length of the initial contract, this team really need someone to hit the ground running.
Required skills Experience in Secretariat Ability to work under pressure and meet competing timeframes Commitment to quality and strong attention to detail in all aspects of work Exceptional organisational and time management skills Sound judgement and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to interact, engage and maintain relationships Mandatory qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Desired qualifications Knowledge of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989, the Therapeutic Goods (Medical Devices) Regulations 2002 and other legislative instruments and guidelines Experience in, or ability to quickly acquire skills with TRIM and GovTeams Salary / Rate $60 - $65 per hour 9.5% Super (depending on experience) Southside location - free parking Initial 6 month contract with....
