We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Community Engagement Specialist to join the team at our Leonora Operations in Western Australia. A valued member of the People, Communications and Corporate Affairs team, this is a permanent, full time opportunity on a balanced 8 days on, 6 days off / 4 days on, 3 days off roster.
This role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora. Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent, this is an opportunity to really make a difference as you support St Barbara’s commitment to ‘Stronger Communities’. You will contribute to building the Company’s community relations and social responsibility in Leonora and surrounding areas, lead the implementation of community programs and partnerships and provide advice and support to the Leonora Operations.
Please note the role will require your flexibility to attend Community events and engagements on weekends or after hours at times with the roster adjusted accordingly. The opportunity Lead the implementation of programs to maintain the Company’s licence to operate. Engage with key stakeholders including land holders and community groups in relation to exploration and mining activities.
Develop, support and build on community partnerships, programs and sponsorships in line with the Company’s Community and Social Performance Strategy. Contribute to the coordination of site communications, including content creation, review and delivery across internal and external channels. Provide communication and community engagement advice and support to the site leadership team.
