About the business Our client is a leading manufacturer of electric motors and controls, power generation and transmission products serving customers throughout the world. About the role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join the team based in Rowville. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will effectively manage the Warehouse Operations in regards to all stock, freight movements and implement improvements within the warehousing, stores and manufacturing environment.

Also the management of staff to optimise their productivity while meeting all aspects of OHS and cost objectives. Major Responsibilities: Manage whole team performance in a positive, constructive and proactive manner. Oversee activities for effective process on receiving, picking, shipment and dispatch.

Responsible for stock control, reconcile stock, effective warehouse layout based on parts commodity with usage analysis applying optimum efficiency Perform cycle counting, stock check and spearhead stock take inventory for warehouse Work with management and the whole team to ensure all Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost targets are met, with continual improvements objectives and recommends methods of improvement Continuous upskilling of staff members. Ensuring your personal skills and the skill base for all employees under your control is continually maintained and updated as required. Ensuring there is adequate competent cover for all roles Lead the whole team to meet expected quality levels, and participate to improve internal Audits results.

Continuously drive improvement across warehouse, stores and logistics, 5S and good housekeeping Skills and experience Proven work experience with minimum 5 years as a Warehouse Manager preferably in manufacturing, logistics an distribution.​ Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality Knowledge of warehouse software packages, MS Office proficiency and ERP systems Strong analytical and problem solving skills, apply warehouse best practice and able to establish logical practical solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
