Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment (adult learning principles) with demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills.
About your opportunity The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will facilitate and provide nursing leadership, support, clinical supervision and mentoring within the nursing team and provide nursing resource, education and strategic management to facilitate the delivery of high quality, best practice care to the clients of the Renal Satellite Unit. The Renal Satellite Unit is comprised of a Haemodialysis Satellite Unit, Chronic Kidney Disease Service, Pre-Transplant, and Home Therapies Unit and is located at the North Ward Health Campus (NWHC), Townsville. Also encompassed within the service are the Palm Island and Home Hill Satellite dialysis units.
The Nurse Unit Manager Renal Satellite is located at the North Ward Health Campus. Other Requirements Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
Generous remuneration package value up to $144,228 p.a. comprising salary range of $116092 to $126037 p.
