About the Role The purpose of the role is to provide clinical and non-clinical assistance and support to Speech Pathologists in the provision of patient care in the acute Speech Pathology team. The position reports to the Acute Speech Pathology Team Leader and works under the direct and indirect supervision of a Speech Pathologist within the acute Speech Pathology team Assist in the provision of services to patients under the direction of Speech Pathologists. This may involve assistance to patients through programs targeting communication, mealtime reviews and swallowing therapy.
Work cooperatively and effectively with patients and their families/carers, members of the Speech Pathology department and the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of the patients/consumers.
