Base Engineer (Fixed Wing)
Queensland GovernmentYour part in the ongoing success of our business, in supporting key frontline services will see you responsible for a variety of work, including: - Maintain aircraft ensuring all engineering, safety and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requirements are adhered to. - Supervise subcontracted maintenance staff and provide engineering support to other bases when required by the QGAir Chief Engineer. - Liaise closely with the QGAir Chief Engineer for maintenance requirements and planning.
- Maintain a CASA approved maintenance facility in accordance with State of Queensland Procedures and Maintenance Control and System of Maintenance Manuals. - Source approved aircraft parts ensuring quality and value of purchase within delegated limits. - Train, educate and certify pilots in maintenance and role equipment functions.
Once you join us we will want you to exemplify the PSBA core behaviours: - Know the business: ours and our clients - Achieve service excellence - Be honest, open, fair and transparent - Focus on results - Respect others Mandatory requirements - B1.1 and/or B2 category licence and/or experience, minimum 3 years; - Type rated and documented experience for Beech 1900 series, Beech 300 Series and Cessna 208 series aircraft; - In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment testing and to participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program. Highly desirable skills/requirements - Experience with CAMP Systems MTX and IMS maintenance and inventory tracking systems; - BAE 125 series (Hawker 850XP) category type rating.
