Food Services Assistant – Casey Hospital (Berwick) Permanent Part Time role - 6 days per fortnight Flexibility to work any day of the week About Monash Health Monash Health is Victoria’s largest public health service. About the Food Services Assistant opportunities Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services. We are now recruiting experienced Food Services Assistants to join our Food Services team at Casey Hospital. As part of this workforce, you will be offered six guaranteed shifts per fortnight with an average of 30 hours a fortnight and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts where available.

Your availability is key to being considered for these positions To be considered for these opportunities, you will need to have: Full availability to work any shift 7 days a week (Minimum 6 shifts per fortnight) Full availability to work during peak times such as: school holidays, Easter, Christmas and other key public holidays and peak times Availability to cover planned leave such as long service & annual leave Commitment to work your accepted and rostered shifts. About The Role: Prepare patient menu items and drinks in accordance with meal production requirements. Accurately assemble meal trays and provisions.

Regeneration and plating of meals for patients. Delivery, distribution and collection all patient meal trays /food requirements and as per specified clinical requirements. Strip, sort, sanitise and clean all trays, trolleys, cutlery and utensils.

Completion of all Food Safety documentation in a timely manner. About You Coming from a fast paced environment, your skills and knowledge gained in a prior food focused role will enable you to strive for service excellence. To support your success in this role, we are looking for you to have: Current Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1 Qualification relevant to Health & Community - Basic Food Safety Practises (HLTFS207C) A competent level of verbal & written communication skills Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures Basic to intermediate digital literacy Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying.
