Allied Health Assistant- Physiotherapy GEM Perm Part Time at Angliss Hospital | 23 hours per fortnight Flexible hours Be part of Angliss Hospital Physiotherapy sub-acute team Eastern Health Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs. About the role Eastern Health is seeking enthusiastic and motivated grade 2, Allied Health Assistants to join our the Acute and Age Medicine GEM and Palliative Care program.
To be successful in this role you should possess: Essential: Completion of the Certificate 4 (Allied Health Assistant) from a registered training organisation including training modules in Physiotherapy or undergraduate Allied Health Professional training in Physiotherapy. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to enable effective liaison with multidisciplinary team including effective clinical handover. Well-developed clinical competence within Physiotherapy and a sound theoretical knowledge base relevant to the workplace The ability to take direction from supervising staff and work effectively in a inter- disciplinary/multidisciplinary team.
Well-developed skills in organisation/time-management, planning and priority setting (including caseload management). Client centred, customer focused and culturally sensitive in all interactions. Awareness of legal and ethical practice requirements.
Professional attributes of initiative, self-motivation, goal-setting, empathy and tact. Desirable: Minimum 1-years’ experience working within an acute or rehabilitation facility or exposure as a student to an acute/sub-acute hospital environment either as an Allied Health Assistant or Allied Health Professional student in working in a hospital based environment Please refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.
