Clinical, Registered and Enrolled Nurses - Mount Lawley

The Position St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital is a major provider of rehabilitation services across Western Australia and has vast experience delivering rehabilitation to both public and private patients. St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital is expanding their rehabilitation services, opening a new 16 bed unit. This will be St John of God Mount Lawley’s 3rd Rehabilitation unit and will be supported by a team of experienced rehabilitation specialists.

Registered, Clinical or Enrolled Nurses are now invited to apply for this exciting opportunity. Permanent or fixed term contracts are available, with full and part time positions being offered Enrolled Nurses perform duties under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse. Registered Nurses perform duties under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Nurse, to ensure that a high level and quality of patient care is delivered.

Clinical Nurses provide, supervise and directs care of Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, Patient Care Assistants and staff under delegation within their unit providing clinical expertise and local leadership to ensure that a high level and quality of patient care is delivered, and the core Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care are achieved. The successful candidate will have: A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse.

Recent clinical experience in an acute care/relevant environment Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team. Well-developed skills in communication, conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving. Commitment to personal and professional development.

For Clinical Nurses: Extensive clinical experience in the nursing/midwifery specialty related to this position. Relevant advanced clinical, decision making and problem solving skills which demonstrates effective leadership, mentoring and coaching. Able to coordinate and prioritise patient care and problem solve in response to a changing environment.

Evidence of participation in and commitment to quality improvement and best practice principles. Knowledge of Equal Opportunity, Workplace Health and Safety, Infection Control and legislation that affects nursing/midwifery practice. Knowledge and understanding of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Austral.
