Restaurant Front of House Manager
Poachers Pantry is a boutique regional producer of gourmet smoked meats and cool climate wine, located in a stunning rural setting close to Canberra. The award-winning Smokehouse Restaurant showcases the smoked meats and wines produced on the property. The venue operates a contemporary brunch, and lunch menu Friday to Sunday.
Wedding receptions are held in the restaurant on weekdays and weekend evenings during peak wedding season, October to April. Special events are held in the restaurant and grounds. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for front of house management in the Smokehouse Restaurant to ensure customers receive high-quality regional food and wine experience.
Key Responsibilities managing the front of house team, including managing reservations, greeting guests and taking orders ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction with meals selecting, training and supervising wait staff planning and organising special functions arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance Benefits Work in a beautiful rural location close to Canberra Great opportunity to become a member of our management team Good work/life balance with relatively few evening shifts Skills and experience Proven experience in managing a successful/credible restaurant, at least three years of relevant experience Preferably an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2).
