About us The Hervey Bay RSL is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast. The Club is the premier entertainment venue in the region experiencing growth in Hervey Bay.

The Club's facilities include:- 280 gaming machines, 4 bars, TAB and Keno, billiards and pool tables, child care centre, bottleshop, 3 functions rooms, 180 seat restaurant, 160 seat deck and 100 seat cafe. About the Role We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and professional Chef de Partie who will bring their knowledge and experience to the team while continuing to develop their current skills Reporting to the Catering Manager / Executive Chef, the Chef de Partie will also work alongside the Exec Sous Chef, Sous Chef and other team members. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing, creating and presenting quality meals Ensuring all dishes from the section are prepared consistently and according to standard Imparting knowledge and training chefs and apprentices, encouraging high standards at all times Maximising and maintaining efficiency, ensuring budgetary requirements for labour and operational expenses are met Maintaining food safety program and systems Leading and organising kitchen operations with the Catering Manager / Executive Chef Assisting in maximising team member morale, motivation and productivity This role has full time hours (38 hours per week).

Availability to work weekdays, nights, weekends and public holidays is required. About you … We are looking for a team leader who is an energetic, self motivated, skilled and passionate trade qualified Chef to work in our catering team to achieve results and be rewarded with job satisfaction, as well as the ability to motivate and lead by example in a busy environment. To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: Essential skills & competencies: Significant Buffet, Bistro, Cafe & Function cooking Experience in a la carte cooking, with the ability to come up with new menu items Grill experience necessary Team worker, organised, self motivated & can work without supervision Ability to work in a fast paced environment, adapt to change and work in high pressure situations Excellent personal hygiene & HACCP knowledge Experience and Qualifications: Cookery trade qualifications, highly qualified Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment If you meet the above criteria and you’re interested in contributing to an organisation that values the highest level.
