As the Senior Project Manager you will be part of a small multi-disciplinary team developing software based on the Agile methodology. The Department is seeking high calibre and high performing candidates to support related projects and programs. These positions will be located in Canberra and are available now.
Must have current Baseline Clearance The department's current projects includes: Development of bespoke ICT Applications; Implementation and embedding of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) collaboration and office productivity technologies; and Enhancement of the Departments' Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) capability. You will: Lead large complex IT enabled projects, with planning and delivery. Lead, motivate and manage team members, setting behavioral expectations and activities.
Ensure the successful adoption of project deliverables by the people that will use them. Establish and manage project procedures, governance and controls, and manage the production of outputs and artefacts through the project lifecycle to meet expected business outcomes, schedules, costs and quality criteria. Identify and manage changes to projects in accordance with established processes and standards, and manage information flows across projects.
Plan and delivery projects using the department's PRINCE2 and MSP frameworks and an Agile product development approach. You will have Demonstrated experience with successful planning and delivery of major IT enabled projects for large organisations in a senior project management role. Experience supporting program management and program delivery, in addition to project management.
Highly developed analytical, problem solving and oral and written communication abilities including experience with producing project and ICT systems documentation. Experience and proficiency with project management tools, standards and processes; using MS Project, and the PRINCE2, MSP and Agile methodologies.
