Advanced Respondent Practitioner - Family Violence
RandstadThe Advanced Respondent Practitioner role is a key initial role in a pilot scheme with a State Government Department. A new initiative with a focus on facilitating enhanced safety and well-being for victim-survivors and enhanced perpetrator risk management and accountability. The purpose of the role is to provide advanced assessment and short-term case management in regard to people who use family violence and have crisis-level complex issues, operating within the civil and/or criminal jurisdictions.
The role:- The role will engage respondents to expand their capacity to participate in approved programmes, interventions or other approved counselling programs. With a focus on accountability and behaviour change. work closely with the Family Safety Practitioner, who engages with victim-survivors to provide advanced assessment and case management.
Apply an evidence-based, pattern-based understanding of family violence. Apply the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) framework principles, practices and responsibilities Assess and respond to the impact of family violence Assist with determining suitability to participate in specialist approved service provider. Key Selection Criteria:- A demonstrated understanding and experience in family violence, risk assessment and working with clients who have complex issues such as mental health and Alcohol and Other Drugs.
Demonstrated understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Demonstrated experience applying an evidence-based, pattern-based understanding of family violence. Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology or other related field. Experience working with people who use violence in the context of specialist men's behaviour change or other perpetrator interventions (minimum three years' experience).
