Your position The Systems Engineer makes an important contribution to the success of a project. Tasks include identifying customer needs, developing and evaluating the right logistics solutions.
The Systems Engineer works on complex technical and business issues and develops solutions using automation equipment from Vanderlande and preferred suppliers. For the internal organisation the Systems Engineer is the contact person on technical and concept specifications in relation to the project. As Systems Project Engineer you'll have an independent role in which you're expected to take your own initiative in the engineering of projects.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that also includes other specialists such as Project Engineers (Controls and Mechanical) and Layout Engineers. As Systems Engineer you'll be working mainly on the mechanical functionality, although to reach a complete design you'll also work closely together with colleagues from other disciplines. Your work as Systems Engineer will later be used for the further project execution by other departments, with which you'll maintain close contact right through the project process.
The challenge in this position is to achieve the right balance between the customer requirements, a feasible solution, the available budget and the right scheduling. Your profile Basic Qualifications: Successfully completed education at bachelor or master level in Mechanical Engineering Relevant working experience in logistics, automation or related industries Flexible, inventive and pro-active in solving practical issues Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD Skills and Abilities: Team player Works systematically, continuously improving processes for self and department Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills. Good command of English Based in Sydney.
