About the Department St Vincent's Operating Suite currently houses 12 theatres, 12 anaesthetic rooms and a Post Anaesthetic Care Area. Working alongside the Sterile Processing Centre, Day Procedures and Endoscopy Centres.
The department undertakes over 9,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialties over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week. About the role Exciting opportunities exists for motivated Grade 2 Registered Nurses with perioperative scrub/scout experience, who are seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of our dynamic team, on a full time or part time fixed term or permanent basis. We are able to provide you with excellent educational opportunities across a broad range of specialties including Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastics, General, Urology and Orthopaedics.
The classification for this position will range between YP3 - YP11 ($65,276 - $87,282 base salary per annum). Duties Ability to work efficiently as a member of a multidisciplinary team Managing the physical and emotional well-being of the patient Administration of medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unit Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing progress Skills, Experience and Qualifications Completed Bachelor of Nursing Degree Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA Good understanding of the role of the scrub/scout nurse including the current standards of practice Current experience in Perioperative nursing is essential Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (desirable) Motivated, professional & exhibiting exceptional communication and time management skills Benefits Salary packaging Employee Assistance Program Staff Car Park Application Please attach your resume and cover letter to your application.
