Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Assistant Director - Marketing on a contract until June 2021, with potential extension.

Position Overview As the Assistant Director Marketing you will play an important role in building the reputation and awareness of the client. You will play a leading role in the development and delivery of the client's core campaign, brand, content, partnerships, product development and advertising activity. You will have an in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and experience of conducting and managing all stages of campaigns.

Duties & Responsibilities: Support the Director of Marketing to build strategies to strengthen and grow the brand and its advocacy. Establish and maintain strong internal and external networks to facilitate development and delivery of effective, targeted and timely marketing activities. Supervise and monitor research, campaigns and multi-media content development from the early planning stages to project completion ensuring a high standard of delivery.

Track and measure campaigns and content across various platforms, always analysing effectiveness and building in programs of optimisation. Manage the reporting mechanisms associated with informing internal and external stakeholders about outcomes. When needed, manage the client's content and product library and deliver a scheduled program of review of the client's different multimedia content formats including video, animation, products, promotional material, photos, icons and brand attributes.

When needed, manage the sourcing, planning, production and distribution of video content, ensuring that video content meets client priorities and delivers high-quality, accessible communications to participants and the public. Provide strategic advice and guidance across a range of marketing functions where appropriate including: insights, brand, advertising, sponsorship, video and content production for the client, providing specialist advice and expertise in contemporary communication tools. Draft and implement guidance, standard operating procedures and policies to support the work of the marketing team.

Work with members of the Communications and Engagement Division to identify and collaborate on joint marketing, brand, advocacy and reputation growth objectives. Remain fully informed on marketing, advertising, social and video trends and implement best practices. Foster creativity and innovation in content creation across a range of channels.

Provide effective management to direct reports, providing employees with the leadership, information and guidance required to achieve outcomes and to ensure that these meet complia.
