AdeccoMultiple roles available across Australia within the Environmental Assessment team in a large Federal government department. Roles ranging from APS3 - EL1, starting in January for 12 months with a high possibility of extension. Client Details Our client is a large national Federal Government department who are looking for experienced Environment Assessment professionals.
Description Some of the responsibilities within this team will include: Critical analysis of proposals and their environmental impacts in accordance with relevant legislation Preparing correspondence and briefing materials Liaising with stakeholders to provide advice about regulatory and policy requirements Conducting project assessments and assisting with approval conditions for projects. Profile Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience: A background in environmental science including ecology, environmental law, Local or State Government planning, hydrology, hydrogeology, water resource management- recent graduates in these fields are welcome to apply. Experience with environmental legislation and regulations to conduct impact assessments Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience leading and managing teams will be highly regarded for EL1 level positions Job Offer Please note you must be an Australian citizen and be willing to undergo relevant pre-employment checks in order to considered for these positions.
