Mechanical Estimator/Draftsman
Spring ProfessionalThe Opportunity: We are currently looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join our operations team. A minimum of 3 years experience in stainless steel pipework and metal fabrication is required. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will include estimating site installations primarily within the Food & Beverage Industry and the Pharmaceutical Industry.
National travel for site visits and client meetings will be required. The successful applicant will be responsible for: reviewing specifications and drawings, accurate take offs, preparing estimates for site installations, site visits and walk throughs, working with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, presenting proposals to clients and undertaking follow ups, liaise and negotiate with clients, assist with procurement of materials and hire equipment, preparation of quality assurance documentation, provision of handovers and ongoing support to Projects Managers throughout the duration of that project, providing hands on support to Project Managers or Supervisors in regards to variation works. To be considered for this opportunity, you will have: relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, minimum of 3 years experience with stainless steel pipework and metal fabrication, experience working within an Estimating capacity, a positive "can do' and focused attitude, the ability to stay on top, prioritise and achieve deadlines, excellent organisational, communication and negotiating skills, excellent attention to detail, flexibility to travel at short notice This is an opportunity to join one an organisation which offer unparalleled long term career opportunities.
