Established business in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs Opportunities for Qualified and Part-Qualified Trades $55,000-$60,000 Super D&R Shipwrights has been operating for over 50 years from the CYCA in Rushcutters Bay. Due to a number of new projects we are seeking applications to join our team. We specialise in all aspects of timber, fiberglass and painting repairs and renovations for cruisers and yachts across Sydney Harbour.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and reliable staff. Applicants must have a good work ethic, high level of self-motivation and some experience in the marine industry. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: Trade qualifications in boat building or demonstrated boat building experience, preferably minimum Certification III Marine Craft Construction.
Experienced boat builders with sufficient experience accepted in lieu of qualifications Fiberglass/Epoxy, Composite work. Slipping and launching of vessels using conventional slipway up to 70Ft Timber, fibreglass and paint repairs. Boat fit out Fabricating teak decks Slipping of yachts and power boats Repairs to timber hulls Rot and osmosis repairs General boat maintenance A strong understanding of safe work practices and workplace health and safety Excellent hand tool skills and machinery expertise Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well within a team environment Discipline to work to strict deadlines Flexibility to multi-task Strong eye for detail with a focus on accuracy and quality first time Ability to learn Reliability and punctuality High level of energy and commitment.
