About the Department St. Vincent's Mental Health (SVMH) includes a Designated Area Mental Health Service for the inner city LGA's of Yarra and Boroondara. About the Role St.

Vincent's Mental Health is looking for a talented and motivated senior psychiatric nurse to take up the leadership role of Senior Clinician on the Mobile Support and Treatment Team at Clarendon CMHS. This position will interest someone who is interested in working with people who have high levels of disability and benefit from intensive case management and medical support. The position will give the successful applicant an opportunity to provide day to day oversight and coordination of a team of skilled clinicians.

In particular the team operates within a Recovery Model of Practice with a strong emphasis of working with consumers identified goals to enable people to live the lives they would like to. In this context St Vincent's Mental Health Program has an expanding peer workforce who work side by side with clinicians to help achieve this aim. Classifications for this position will range from Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4 NP75 - NP77 ($98,800 - $109,200 per annum) Duties Provide clinical Team Leadership to multidisciplinary staff members, and actively contributes to clinical practice within the mental health service as a senior staff member.

Provide clinical services to consumers and carers including the provision of high quality mental health assessments, case management and clinical interventions. Develop responsive and accessible services and continuity of care through effective links and liaison with the integrated adult area mental health service and other relevant services. In liaison with other senior nurses provide effective nursing leadership.

This will include work on Quality Assurance and Service Development Projects as well as being allocated portfolios related to specific nursing responsibilities and other portfolios as the position requires Qualifications, Skills and Experience Proven ability to deliver quality services to consumers with a severe and enduring mental illness Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Demonstrated expertise in in recovery, rehabilitation and intensive case management Demonstrated expertise in risk management Strong leader.
