Supervisor - Indigenous or Non-Indigenous TrainerCareer Building
Rewarding position training up to 10 Indigenous school children - contruction methods on a larger commercial project in SW Syndey. Tue / Wed / Thur. The DFP Site Supervisor Manager/Trainer assists the organisation’s development and ongoing management of the DFP.
Your primary goal will be working with Top Tier Senior Site Managers and their colleagues and sub-contractors in organising the work program for DFP Trainees on sites. The role of Site Supervisor Manger/Trainer requires a proactive and forward-thinking individual, who has a minimum experience of 5 years within the role. This position will be a casual contract working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until the end of the school term.
You will be running up to 10 Indigenous school kids on Commercial projects in SW Sydney. REQUIREMENTS Safety Screening and Licences Trade Certificate or Contractors Licence in Builder, Carpentry or Bricklaying Certificate IV Training and Assessment or it's equivalent Valid Employee Working With Children Check Satisfactory Police Records Check NSW Drivers Licence and reliable transportation White Card REQUIRED EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • Experience as a Supervisor in a Construction industry environment • Experience as a trainer and assessor of construction industry qualifications • Must hold a Certificate II in Construction as a minimum (Certificate III in Construction preferable) • Holding a Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety or its equivalent would be advantageous • Sound Knowledge of Local Industry, Construction and Commerce • Minimum of level 2 First Aid • Sound Verbal and written communication skills.
