Client Details Adecco is partnering with Scope who are a registered provider under the NDIS, delivering a range of services including supported independent living, short term accommodation (respite), lifestyle options and therapy. Description About The Role As a Support Worker, you will deliver a variety of services to participants to support them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community.
You will provide assistance with all aspects of daily living including meals, personal care, domestic activities, social and community participation and varying skill development activities. This is a hands-on role, suitable for active individuals who can perform manual handling duties. A Part-Time Permanent opportunity is available in Scope Balwyn North Supported Independent Living Service.
The successful candidate must be available for the following roster line: Week One: Tuesday 4:00pm - 9:00pm, Thursday 6:30am - 9:30am Week Two: Monday and Tuesday 6:30am-9:30am plus 4:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 4:00pm - 9:00pm Profile To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated the following through your work and professional behaviours, as well as hold the mentioned certificates or required documentation: Experience working with behaviours of concern in residential/community settings (highly regarded) A breadth and diverse background in supporting people to meet their personal goals, with a focus on supporting people with a physical and/or intellectual disability (essential) Have demonstrated resilience and grit within the workplace Ability to build and manage relationships and work within a team environment Critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines Must attend scheduled training You are committed to family and person centred approaches, supporting inclusion and participation Must be available across AM/PM, sleepover shifts and preferably have some weekend availability as well as attending team meetings which are scheduled and paid, during standard hours Satisfactory Working With Children's Check (Employee) Current Level 1 First Aid & CPR Certificate Current Driver's License Australian Residency Status or valid Australian Working Rights Must obtain or agree to complete National/International Police check Job Offer Successful candidates will enjoy a range of staff benefits including flexibility to suit your work-life balance, continuous development and training, and a locally based, friendly team environment.
