Sterling & Wilson Level 12, 141 Walker Street North Sydney, NSW 2060 Full Time Technician Electrical 65,000 – 80,000 Plus SUPERANNUATION SUMMARY Responsible for maintenance and effective functioning of the installed solar panels. The individual at work cleans the installed solar modules, checks the photovoltaic system for uninterrupted power output and identifies faults in the PV system. We have an opportunity for this role in the Solar/EPC environment to join the project team based at head office and will also be required to travel to project sites.
DUTIES t Hands-on experience of Solar/EPC electrical site execution t Erection, testing and commissioning of switchyard with single bus consisting of line bays, transformer bays, bus coupler bay including the activities related to Electrical Inspector’s visit and permission. t Avoiding project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans to ensure project timelines are not compromised t Connect modules, connect communication cable for weather management t Knowledge and understanding of the electrical infrastructure required by power generation systems including reticulation networks, earthing systems, protection and control systems. Note that experience with multiple power generation technologies is preferred but not essential t Understanding of the project development lifecycle including; development approval, environmental assessment, contracting strategies, procurement processes, commercial agreements, financing and implementation/construction of projects t Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives at appropriate times t Able to bring innovation to complex problems using your problem solving and analytical skills REQUIRED SKILLS Education Relevant tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering Experience 2 years of electrical engineering work experience at construction site.
