Working in a team of three, payroll administrative tasks with loads of flexibility on offer for your skills, attitude and commitment. THE COMPANY Iconic Melbourne organisation embarking on a major change project. THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to one of Melbourne’s most highly sought after, and down to earth, Payroll Managers the Payroll Officer will be the next addition to a team who work for an organisation who are currently embarking on a major change project.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Answering all payroll related queries and requests for ad hoc documentation (such as service letters, bank applications etc.) Administering the Payroll Inbox and action all employee-related requests and queries and/or escalate accordingly Assisting with month-end processing for all payrolls (including reporting such as leave, costings, absenteeism) Assisting with the processing of full time and casual employee wages year-end processing Administering payments to superannuation funds by due dates for legislative requirements Effectively ensuring all new employees details are entered into the HRIS and properly offboarded Complete ad-hoc payroll tasks as requested to support the payroll team POSITIVES This is either a unique opportunity for an up and coming Payroll Professional to join a tenured team who will impart their knowledge OR an amazing role for a tenured Payroll Specialist to take a step back into a role which will provide flexibility around start and finish times as well as work patterns. CHALLENGES This position is not for the faint of heart.
The payroll is high volume, fast-paced and will get even more so as COVID restrictions are reduced. The organisation has big plans for the future and Payroll is an integral part of that change. IDEAL APPLICANTS The Payroll Manager is seeking an applicant with: Four years experience running of end to end payroll processing in a fast-paced environment Great communication skills Exposure to Rostering/Time & Attendance systems Solid MS Excel skills WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?
