Position Description Lake Macquarie based company Opportunity to receive further qualifications Specialists in the electrical field ROLE MEGT RMS in conjunction with our Host Employer, are looking for a switched-on dynamic individual who is looking for an electrical trade in the local area. This Host Employer is a specialist in what they do - high voltage and powerline construction, looking after Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley. Our Host Employer has been operating for over 17 years in the electrical infrastructure sector, along with having over 30 years knowledge, they have gained a reputation for the best in their field.
In this Apprenticeship your duties will be; Assisting Tradesmen with overhead power line services Low and high voltage works Carry out specific testing at switchboards and recording information Soldering and welding equipment into place as needed Power pole removal, replacement, and installation Trenching works Writing and submitting reports on resolved issues Assist in routine and preventive maintenance with Tradesmen Hand and power tool use Superior safety awareness Working with highly skilled and qualified team members SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Studied electronics, engineering, maths subjects at school would be desirable Previous exposure in a business, hospitality, or customer service environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable on the job, high initiative, and adaptability Drivers licence and own transport COMPANY CULTURE Our Host Employer offers a collaborative and supportive team; they are a medium sized business with a variety of Tradesmen and administration employees. Our Host Employer is looking for a candidate who would like to complete a trade and progress with the company, with the potential of receiving further qualifications to become a qualified Linesmen.
