About the Role As a Support Worker based in Adelaide, you will work with various clients under Life Without Barrier's Aged Care Services. In this role, you will providing mainly personal care and community access services. Support Workers actively support the individual needs of frail, aged and people with a disability.
Working in a team environment or autonomously at times, you will facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with clients in a positive and proactive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide quality direct support to clients in line with their support needs, the program they are accessing, and all support plans including their Care Plan Increase the client's skills, independence, personal growth and development through provision of active support and their enhanced participation as a valued member of their community Assist in the delivery of services that facilitate client's development of social networks and inclusion / assistance with community activities, personal care and respite care in line with LWB Policies and Procedures Keep accurate and timely records and ensure that appropriate records are updated and maintained Skills & Experience Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or similar, or willingness to complete this within the first two (2) years of employment A current unrestricted drivers licence A current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain before commencement Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and DCSI Aged Care Check.
