About the role Located in Moe, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for the maintenance of accounting systems, including monthly and annual financial reporting.
Joining a small administration team, the Payroll Officer is a temporary part-time position (0.6) with the potential for a permanent placement for the suitable candidate. Offering flexible work hours, our client is looking for a detail oriented and experienced individual to build their business.
Duties Maintenance of all payroll records, generation of payments to staff and timely preparation of superannuation and payroll deductions Recommend, develop and document appropriate systems, tools or processed to improve the financial management systems Input of all payments received and accurate allocation to appropriate invoices Ensure all accounts are properly authorised and control debtors with outstanding accounts Ensure that all monies received are correctly receipted and deposited on a daily basis Any other duties as directed by the Managing Director and General Manager Skills & Experience Proficiency using payroll systems with experience using Xero being advantageous Demonstrated experience with end to end payroll of up to 50 staff, accounts payable and accounts receivable Experience in applying awards, agreements, taxation and superannuation legislation Well-developed time management, organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work within strict deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Highly effective numeracy, attention to detail and data entry skills How to apply Applications must be received via the GBS Recruitment website (www.gbsrecruitment.com.
