Education in Australia - Costs of University in Australia

The Australian education system can be more easily explained if it is divided into two parts. The first part provides primary and secondary education; the second part provides tertiary education. School education is similar across all of Australia with only minor variations between states and territories.

Education in Australia – Costs of University in Australia

Tertiary education is not free for Australian or New Zealand citizens and unfortunately many New Zealand citizens will not be eligible for any kind of student loan to pay university fees, or be eligible for a student allowance to pay for living costs. New Zealand citizens can study at Australian tertiary institutions and are eligible to pay domestic, not international fees.

Only Australian citizens and permanent humanitarian visa holders can access HELP student loans or access the HELP discount for up-front payments.

You should research your topics of interest and consult with the individual university, TAFE or RTO for accurate prices. TAFE and RTO fees are substantially less than university fees.

there are new laws as of 19 jan 2016 for if you came over after feb 2001 and are not a protected scv holder which enable you to get a HELP access as long as you have been educated in Australia for 8years and so many months so don’t give up yet just do the research … I hope this is helpful
